In drawings, I seek to come close to an expression of something that is
concrete, object-like, without using plain depiction or a form of
naturalism. In drawing, the central elements light, space and mass
exist, but in a different way than in sculpture.
The drawings can give an impression of something three-dimensional and
palpable, while they clearly remain graphic objects.
I seek to push beyond a realistic stage, into something of more general
value than the immediate visual impression.
