“Traces in the landscape 2”
Tyssøy by Bergen, Norway, 2003.
Landscape installation - a collaboration
with the artist Eva Kun.
We chose a mound we found interesting
in the surrounding landscape: it acquires significance without being
dominant, and is an interesting view point. The mound is also
people-friendly in its small scale, with inherent qualities which relate
to the sculptural form; stratification and changing directions.
By adding spatial lines we attempted to
emphasize and reveal some central qualities. We want to instigate a new
condition which encourages sojourn and a new awareness, at both a
distance and in close proximity.
Material: white
painted wood laths, mounted on smooth, grey painted structural steel.
